Hot movies to undergo 3D conversion

It seems that 3D technology is the future of movies. With the launch of 7000 projection rooms around the world in the coming time, 2010 is regarded as the year of 3D movie. After the success of 3D movie Avatar, many films are planned to produce with 3D technology. Let's wait for the appearance of such interesting and special films.


"Clash of the Titans" is a movie based on Greek mythology, telling the story of Perseus, the son of Zeus, as he goes on a mission to the city of Argos to battle Hades, the God of the Underworld. "Clash of the Titans" 3D version is planned to release on April 2nd. It is expected that its ticket rate would be similar to Avatar 3D movie.

It could be said that the love of Jack and Rose in the film Titanic by James Cameron has become immortal. Recently, the Avatar director James Cameron announced his plan to release again the famous film Titanic in 3D to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the legendary ship.

George Lucas, the director of the first Star Wars film made in 1977 seriously considers to make Star Wars 3D. It is reported that it will take $10m (£6.24m) to turn it into a 3D experience.

It is thought that "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy has been lined up to be re-released with the 3D technology, which can take as little as four months. However, until now no official news has been revealed by director Peter Jackson.

Shrek is seen as one of the most successful movies that were released by DreamWorks in 2001. It attracted the attention of both children and adults. Recently DreamWorks Animation has revealed the new trailer for Shrek Forever After, opening in 3D theaters and IMAX 3D on May 21.

It is reported that the final two Harry Potter films will be released in 3D in the next time. Each film now costs $5million to change into 3D and Warners will also absorb an additional $5million per movie to pay for 3D glasses. Deathly Hallows: Part I is set for release on November 19 and Part II due out on July 15, 2011.

Disney is going the digital 3D route with Rapunzel. This is an adventure story about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. It is expected that the film will be released on November 24th, 2010.
